This wireless network provides the security to do your online banking and transmit other sensitive information (SSN, etc.). Faculty/staff and students are required to connect to KSC Secure.

How to connect to the wireless secure network:

Faculty/Staff and Students

To connect your laptop, phone or other mobile device:

Select the KSC_Secure wireless option and when prompted enter:

  • yourNetID and your NetID password

iPhones - A screen will appear and you can click ‘Trust’ in the upper right hand corner.

Android phones - Your settings should be:

  • PEAP
  • Certificate - Do not Validate
  • Domain - student.keene.edu
  • Identify - NetID
  • Anonymous - leave blank
  • Password - NetID password

Is your laptop or mobile device have trouble connecting to KSC_Secure?

Sometimes previous WiFi connections make it difficult to access and connect to KSC_Secure. One way to resolve this is to forget the network option. Here’s how to do that:On your:

PC

  • Click the Network icon on the lower right corner of your screen.
  • Choose Network settings.
  • Click on Manage Wi-Fi settings.
  • Under Manage known networks, select KSC_Secure.
  • Then click Forget.
  • Now attempt to reconnect to KSC_Secure.

Chromebook

  • PEAP

Mac

  • Click the wifi symbol at the top of your screen, and select Open Network Preferences.
  • In the lower-right corner, choose Advanced.
  • Under Preferred Networks select KSC_Secure.
  • Click the minus (-) button to forget.
  • Click OK.
  • Now attempt to reconnect to KSC_Secure.

IOS (iPhone)

  • From the home screen, choose Settings.
  • In the settings menu, choose Wi-Fi.
  • Locate KSC_Secure and click the blue symbol next to the name.
  • Click “Forget this Network”

Android

  • From the home screen, choose Settings.
  • In the settings menu, choose Wi-Fi.
  • Locate KSC_Secure and tap or press and hold it.
  • Choose Forget.
  • Now attempt to reconnect to KSC_Secure

After you “Forget the Network”, shut down your computer/phone, restart and reconnect to KSC_Secure again. You may need to forget ALL networks if you continue having trouble connecting to KSC_Secure.

Guests

Guest access is provided to anyone who is not a Keene State College student or employee through a non-encrypted, wireless network. Guests using our network will be provided limited network access to HTTP and HTTPS.

  • Select the KSC_Guest wireless connection and join that network.
  • Open a web-browser and enter your email address on the screen provided.
  • A screen will appear and you can click ‘Trust’ in the upper right hand corner.
  • Access the guest network will remain available for 12 hours.

Eduroam

Keene State College IT Group has added eduroam, which is an international roaming wireless service for users in the education community. It provides KSC students, faculty and staff easy and secure wireless network access when visiting another eduroam enabled institution other than their own. It also means visitors to Keene State, who come from an eduroam-compliant institution, can do the same.

You will log into eduroam using your KSC email address and NetID password. This will be the same at all compliant institutions, within New Hampshire or the world!

To use eduroam at any of the USNH institutions:

  • Drive to one of the hotspot locations listed below.
  • Select the eduroam network in your Wi-Fi settings.
  • Connect using your KSC email address and password.
